Catwoman and
Black Cat's history is very interesting. While Catwoman debuted much, much earlier, it was Black Cat who debuted the sexy black, skin-tight costume first! So which character
really copied who?
Both!
Well, I guess we should
give up on ever having a
good Black Cat figure. Her very first Toybiz figure is the stuff of
nightmares, rivaled only by their
infamous Emma Frost figure. Then the next two releases, by Hasbro, were so meh. One was a modern, mafia-boss look that really didn't feel like Black Cat at all, and the next one had a horrible face sculpt and
lanky appendages. This one... I mean, just on the sculpt alone, her face has a very
vacant look that is very dull. The rest of the body is alright, but the headsculpt? No thanks, she looks
dead inside.
But then there's the articulation. The hair prevents even the slightest turn to either side, but her single-jointed elbows can't even each a 90 degree angle with the arms.
Absolutely pathetic. So even if the figure looked good, she'll never be in any fun poses.
For being one of Spider-man's most notorious allies... her figure is horrible.
