One of the greatest
mysteries in comic books of the 90's was whether
Storm's outfit was White or Black, and in a very cool twist, Hasbro released the figure in both colors! I went for the black costume because she was the one that was the cheapest, but I would've preferred the white one. Bummer!
She looks really cool, the head sculpt in particular is very
pretty, and while I would've preferred the white costume, this gold on black looks really good. One thing that irked me a bit is that the cape-thing on her arms is made out of a weird papery material instead of cloth, it looks a bit ugly.
The articulation is fine, and she comes with two electricity effects... but she does have one major issue... she's made on the Scarlet Witch mold. A few other figures
share this mold, like Hellcat(
Spoilers!) and Misty Knight(
More spoilers!), and if you are familiar with the buck... then you'd know that it has incredibly flimsy knees that make these figures hard to stand, and as pretty as Storm's head sculpt is.... it's also
very heavy, which makes standing her even harder! She's as tall as the Bucky Cap buck.
Storm is a decent figure... when you can get her to stand on her legs. Honestly, that's this figure's only issue, but it's a big one.
