So.... I think this one should be called retro-carded like the last one, huh?
The previous two releases of
Scarlet Spider(Ben) were really good, for their time. They were, honestly. But much as with VHS Cyclops, this new release blows the other two out of the water, the quality increase is
THAT high.
So, what makes it so much better? It's on the Renew Your Vows mold, so he's
beefier, pinless joints, and now we have a
better diaphragm crunch, toe articulation, a swivel join on the lower part of the legs and butterfly joints. The blue hoody is made up of a rubbery blue plastic that can be taken of and replaced with soft goods if you prefer.
Like, it's not even funny how much better this one looks. Not only is he beefier, but he is also slightly taller. And of course, the old Ben Reilly head is
compatible with the ball joint on the neck, you you can have him unmasked too. I didn't have any issue with any of the joints, they are all very smooth,
Much like VHS Cyclops, this one is a figure I've been coming back too frequently, and when I'm not fidgeting with him, his comfortably displayed on my living room. This guy rocks.
