Action Figure #475: Star Wars The Black Series Jabba the Hut

 Slave Leia not included... sadly
Few things are more iconic than Jabba the Hut's first(technically) appearance in Return of the Jedi. He was this huge, animatronic slime-like-lizard alien thing, immune to Jedi Mind Trick's and the sole reason Leia got her infamous metal bikini. Beings such an iconic part of Star Wars, I really wanted the guy in my collection.
He's... a bit underwhelming. He's made up of a completely hollow, solid-plastic bottom piece and a mor solid piece making up his head, which in actuality, is a very soft-plastic sculpted 'skin' that goes over some piece of plastic. I wish his head had been solid plastic instead of whatever they did here. What I'll give them is that the sculpt is phenomenal, his skin has been sculpted beautifully and he looks just like he does in the movie.
But then again... is this an action figure? While he is made up of two main pieces, and you can see the seam where they connect... you can't turn his head. The only bits you can move are his arms, which can actually bend at the wrists, and in fact, he comes with a gimmick, as lowering any of his arms makes him open up his mouth. Worthless. He is a ver large piece, but not as tall as Bucky Cap.
Barely an action figure, and I don't know if the soft plastic that makes up the upper half of his body is very durable... all in all, for such an important part of Star Wars mythos, this figures kinda sucks.
