Action Figure #9: DC Universe Classics Superboy

  Ain't that super.

 Time for another figure that I really, really like, Superboy! This was Con-El's first look, it's very 90's and I've always loved it. This was the very same looked that faced off against Ben Reilly in the one issue of DC Vs Marvel I owned when I was younger.

 The sculpt is pretty cool, he features the basic articulation of any other DCU figure, and he comes with a hard rubber jacket. I would've preferred a more neutral look to the jacket, but the flowy design does make him look a bit more dynamic. I purchased the figure new in box, but the legs are already showing stretch marks if I push them too much to the sides, and they are a bit loose too, which scares me a bit since I had other DCU figures legs' break on me already, even a Riddler that I also purchased unopened(Spoilers!).

 The guy is slightly shorter than a Bucky-cap Marvel Legends, which means he is shorter than the average DCU action figure, which suits him just fine since he is a teenager.

 I honestly adore this Superboy design, and I think Mattel nailed the look in plastic perfectly. The legs are a bit wonky, which is a bit scary, but otherwise, he is fantastic.

Action Figure #8: Marvel Legends - Armin Zola(Baron Zemo/Armin Zola Two-Pack)

  Technically, he is headless.

 Much like the Baron Zemo Sr. figure, Armin Zola is a bit on the basic side. And if you've been collecting Marvel legends for long, you probably own an Armin Zola or two. This one has a new face design on his chest, for what it's worth

 He's alright. He's a chunky boy alright, and his lack of head is just funny. He came with much less accessories than Zemo, just an alternate head and a... sort of controller? It probably makes sense for his fans. His arms are on single-jointed elbows, but it's not too bad. The chest has a triangular shape on the shoulder, which does somewhat limit the range on his arms.

 Much like Zemo, this guy is pretty basic. I don't really mind, but there's nothing worth writing home about here. While he is a bit wider than your average Bucky-Cap mold, he is just about as tall.

 Yeah, I don't mind owning him since he played a rather large part in Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes, but he was never a priority and I don't think I'll be displaying him much. Not that I dislike the figure, I just don't care about the character!

Action Figure #7: DC Universe Classics - Magog

  He is one horny fellow.

 And now, Magog gets his turn! He is one of my favorite DC Universe Classics figures that I own, since he looks really cool... even though I haven't even read Kingdom Come. the guy is a parody of Cable, what Alex Ross considered the worst Comic Book tropes of the 90's... but I think he looks really cool!

 The guy features the usual articulation of other DCUC figures, as well as the same style of mold, so you know what you are getting into. He's got a sculpted gun and gun holster on his belt, but you can't take him off, and he also comes with a lance/staff of sorts that completes the look.

 The articulation is smooth, and because he looks so good in his gold, grey and brown, he makes for an imposing villain. He stands ever so slightly taller than a basic Marvel Legends figure, although Cable, is inspiration, is taller than him. Both of them look great together with their Silver and Gold techno-arms.

 Yeah, there's not much to say about the guy, but I absolutely adore his design. There's so many sculpted details that he stands out even among the other DCU figures I own.

Action Figure #6: Marvel Legends - Baron Zemo Sr.(Baron Zemo Armin Zola double pack)

  Daddy wears a sock on his head too.

 I'm not the biggest fan of Captain America in general, so I'm not the biggest fan of his villains either, but I couldn't resist having Baron Zemo Sr. join my figures.

 The guy is a pretty basic figure, which makes sense, as he has a very basic design. Regardless, despite how basic he looks... I kinda dig him! He's got your average ML articulation, and the soft-plastic over his legs doesn't get in the way of his legs moving, which is pretty cool. 

 He comes with an extra head, but the furry collar stayed too loose with it, so I went for the sock. He also comes with a sword, with a black grip and a golden guard, unlike his son's yellow sword. Both swords have the same mold, however. He stands ever so slightly taller than a bucky cap mold.

 He's fine, y'know? There's nothing worth writing home about here, but he is fine. The articulation is good and smooth and the figure is a good representation of the character.

Action Figure #5: S. H. Figuarts Naruto - Kurama Link Mode-

  Sin City's yellow bastard met his match.

 Yellow is my favorite color, so you just know that Naruto Kurama Link Mode is destined to be one of my favorite action figures of all time. While not my favorite version of Naruto, that'd be Six Paths and/or Sage Mode with the coat, I just couldn't resist the pure YELLOW GLORY of this Naruto action figure.

 The guy is your standard SH Figuarts fare when it comes to articulation, double jointed elbows and knees, toe-articulation, he can twist his torso and also has a diaphragm joint, butterfly joins on his arms, the whole 9 yards. He is less plastic-y than the basic Naruto figure, which I rather like since he doesn't seem as frail, although the ends of his bandana ARE hard, frail, plastic, so try not to have him fall down on his back!

 The guy comes with a lot of accessories, which is a bit wasted on me, since once I decided on a face-plate and a handset I never change them, haha. Still, there's a ton of hands and faces, as well as a Oodama Rasengan effect and a Rasenshuriken effect, so there's a lot to play with. I had to put a bit of oil on one of his legs since it was very squeaky, and now it works perfectly fine. He is slightly shorter than your average Marvel Legends Fig, as per usual with the line.

 Yeah, I love this guy. From the color scheme, to how it feels to play around with and how cool he looks. He was a bit overly expensive, since he was a P-Bandai Exclusive, but I don't regret buying him.

Action Figure #4: DC Direct - First Apperance Batgirl(Cassandra Cain)

  I always wondered how to breathed through her mask.

 Cassandra Cain has always been my favorite Batgirl so I've been looking to add a 6-inch figure of her into my collection. I purchased this one by accident, as I thought I was getting the one that has the more DC Universe Classics articulation, but at least she gets the job done, I guess.

 She comes with a Batarang, a base and a complete mini-comicbook of her first appearance. Upon first seeing her, she looks... decent. Her head is a tad too large for her body, which still throws me off every time I see it, but I think her oversized yellow belt, which can be turned around, looks pretty striking. I don't know if every figure comes like this one, but she was new-in-box, and her legs were warped, so she has a hard time standing without her base. I had the same issue with DC Direct's Damian Wayne, but with a bit of hot water I managed to somewhat fix him, so some day I'll get around doing the same thing for her.  

 Her articulation is... pathetic. Her legs can only move forwards and backwards, but she barely has any range forward. Single jointed knees and elbows, and her hands can swivel, for whatever good it does you. Her torso can turn around, and her arms have forwards and backwards movement, and they can BARELY move to the sides. Honestly, she makes the DC Direct Aquaman figure I wrote about earlier seem super articulated. She's about as tall as a Marvel Legends, which works better for the DC Universe line so that she'll look shorter, and she's supposed to be a short girl, so it works. That said, her heard is too large, even larger than a Marvel Legends.

 Having a figure of Cassandra is better than having no figure at all, for sure, but... c'mon, this release is not very good. The proportions are off, the legs can barely hold her up without her base, and the articulation is almost non-existent.

Action Figure #3: Marvel Legends - Daredevil (Marvel Knights Wave)

  The man without fear is no longer the man with no beard.

 I'm not a super Daredevil fan, nor am I to keen about bearded heroes, but something about the new Daredevil design just looked so badass to me, and being a rather new design, which was already retired, I was pleasantly surprised to see him get his own figure!

 He looks badass. His knees look a bit weird when fully bent, and he is a newer Daredevil figure with NO butterfly joints, which should be a crime, but that aside he looks really nice, and the articulation was very smooth. He comes with the two billy clubs every other Daredevil figure comes with as well as a double bladed staff that looks very cool in his hands.

 The guy is as tall as the bucky cap mold. Despite him using a black and red color scheme, which is rather prevalent in my Spider-man-centric Marvel Legends collection he still stands out because of how unique his design is. And he is a joy to pose around, and looks incredible next to Lady Daredevil. 

 He is a great one, probably one of my favorite Marvel Legends of late.
