Time for cops and robbers. Wait, this were the first Police Rangers, so no robbers!
Well, I may not have mentioned it before, but I'm watching Number 1 Sentai Gozyuger, and the moment that Saejima from Garo was cast as
DekaRed I went online to get my hands on the
S.P.D. Red Ranger. Man, Gozyuger started off very strong, but it fell a bit off. It got too silly, the sixth Ranger became a jobber that lost all of his aura, and early on the bad guys win and remake the entire world... only to everything going back to how it was exactly before in the very same episode!
Lame. But, going back to this guy.... He is very, very expensive, this is the third most expensive Ranger I bought, behind Drakkon Evo III and the Red Ranger Remake, I'm just glad I managed to snag him for under 90$.
I really dig the SPD/DEKA look. The asymmetrical black left arm, the short white gauntlets, I dunno, I just find them to be very cool looking rangers, and he looks
great in plastic form too. He comes with two trigger finger hands, a hand to hold his morpher, an open palm,, his morpher, two blasters and an effect piece as well as an unmasked head.
Much like he did in Gozyuger, and since this figure came out before I'm guessing he does so in Dekaranger as well, his guns can combine into a larger blaster.
Pretty neat!
You know the deal about this, so let me copy paste a bit. Articulation follows everything this line has, with double jointed elbows and knees, butterfly joints, swivels on his biceps, thighs and boots, with a hinged waist a ball jointed diaphragm.
Luckily, no drop-down hips. The only thing worth noting, is that his black shoulder is very stiff, particularly when rotating the arm. This seems to be common with this mold, because it happens with my
other SPD ranger(Spoilers) as well as on a video I watched. He is a bit shorter than Bucky Cap.
What can I say, he is a bit simple, but definitely one of the most unique designs among Sentai and Rangers. I like the figure a lot, and I love having a Red Ranger sharpshooter, it's just a shame that one of his shoulders is so stiff!
