I thought I was getting Falcon, Duke's brother...
I watched a lot of G. I. Joe Cartoons, trying to force myself to like the characters to no avail, although Renegades was dope, but the classic series eluded me... except for the movie. Like Lt. Falcon, so I thought that this was Falcon. I was wrong... and yet, I'm OK with adding Flint into my collection. So, after I got over realizing this wasn't the character I wanted... there was a reason I bought him: While other Falcons were already out, I thought that this was the coolest looking version of the guy, so... he is still a dope looking soldier! The guy's outfit has a lot of texture sculpted onto it, which is always a great thing, and I do feel like the Black and Green color scheme looks badass. I really like his face sculpt, because he has this goofy, calm smile to him, so you just know that he is a pleasant fella, and not all soldiers need to be no-nonsense serious guys. The guy comes with a pistol, a shotgun, a military cap, a backpack, and much like any other backpack in the Classified series, it comes off too easily, two finger trigger guns, two fists, and a pointing hand, which I loved, and a cupping hand for the shotgun. Initially I was planning on keeping the pointing finger on him, because I though it fit him, but I felt the cupping hand would give me more interesting poses. He also comes with a black base!
Articulation is up to the standards of the series. Double jointed elbows and knees, bicep, thigh and boot swivels, with drop down hips, a ball jointed ab crunch and a ball jointed waist. Also, the plastic on this guy is great, nothing seems gummy, which is surprising for a modern Hasbro figure.
You might have some issues twisting his torso, because the holster he wears is tied to the pistol holster on his leg, so you do lose some range there. He is a bit taller than Bucky Cap.
Man, I wish I could like G. I. Joe more, because the very few figures I own I do like quite a bit. Once I stop this Lightning Collection Phase I might try to get some more Joes!
