I did mention my collection was heavy on Spider-man, right?
The first proper Spider-man figure I'll be writing about is going to be, well, the very first Spider-man, the one featured in Amazing Fantasy #15... kinda. This release featured a new buck, not as slim as Pizza Spidey, but not as beefy as RYV's Spidey, and some people still consider this the best body for Spider-man, particularly highschool Spider-man. It's a good buck, it has a very lean musculature, and the figure came with webbing to put under his arms, but I prefer to display him without it. There's one tiny issue with this figure... the Spider logo on his back is red, when originally it was a blue. This was fixed on a later re-release.
This is a top-notch Spider-man figure. The articulation is very good, and the light-black paint gives him a more retro look which I dig. He's about as tall as a Bucky-Cap figure, but he has less defined muscles, and while I do prefer a more muscular Spider-man, this build also works for him.
This is one of those Spider-man figs that can serve as your only Spider-man and your display would look great, because he can fit a Spider-man display, an Avengers display or whatever other team he has featured in. That said, he probably would look a bit too small next to his clones.
