He doesn't live under the sea in a pineapple house.
I've wanted this guy for a long, loooooong while, because this is one of the coolest Aquaman figures out there, and he is based on the incredibly badass New 52's Justice League Aquaman take, the one drawn by Jim Lee.Aesthetically speaking, this guy is a beauty. It perfectly captures how Arthur looked in the Justice League relaunch, with the sideburn's and everything. The guy sports a metallic orange scalemail which is just cheff's kiss, and he comes with a little metallic chain tied to his Trident, just like in the comic book.
That said... as cool as he looks, he does have a downside... the articulation. Knees and elbows are single-jointed, the legs only go back and forwards, and don't reach 90 degrees of movement forward, and while he has bicep swivels... the ball-jointed arms don't have much range either. But at least he looks cool, right? While still firmly a 6-inch figure, not as tall as a McFarlane action figure, he sits on the higher on of the 6-inch scale, making him taller than your average Marvel Legends figure as well as your average DC Universe Classics. You can still fit him around them, but he will stand taller than most of them.
I like the guy, I do, but he is not much fun to play around with due to his limited articulation, so there's only so many poses you can put him in. But, hey, he looks cool at least.
