This time around, unlike figure #60, I did plan this one, hehe!
It's no exaggeration when I say that this figure of The Rocketeer is one my favorite figures in my collection. So let's get on with it!The sculpt is pretty much identical to your standard Marvel Legends, he is missing butterfly joints, but given the character, they are not necessary. The figure has a lot of shading, and details, and the different browns and beiges look beautiful with his golden helmet. He also comes with an unmasked head, and while the sculpt is good... the paint is terrible, they gave him the pinkest lips ever, so it looks as if Cliff is wearing makeup. He comes with a comic-inspired purple-and-silver jetpack that connects via a peg to a port in his back, and he also gets this cool looking fire jettison effect. I seriously love how this figure looks. Much like Betty, he also has that weird crotch piece, but since it's the same color as his pants, it's not too noticeable.
As I said before, the articulation feels straight out of a Marvel Legends. Every joint worked great, and he feels much sturdier than a Marvel Legends.... unlike Betty who very quickly lost her arms.
See? SEE?
This guy is fantastic, for a few months I couldn't put the figure down, and I have him on display constantly. He looks fantastic, honestly. About the only issue with him is the price point, which was elevated due to Betty... but soon it won't be an issue since he is re-releasing with his dog instead of Betty, dropping the price point about 60usd. Now's the time to get him!
