Action Figure #97: DC Multiverse Green Lantern(Kyle Rayner)

We're nearly done with the Green Lanterns, I promise!

I promise you, this Green Lantern is different, because Kyle Rayner happens to be my favorite one, and this isn't just 'any' Kyle, it's classic 90's Kyle!! The one with the most unique outfit! Woohoo!
I love how this guy looks! His more armored mask looks amazing, and while his arms look a bit chunky, he's gotten his more armored gauntlets! Yeah, he looks great. The green is not as mesmerizing as John's, but hey, I prefer Kyle. Sue me!
Articulation-wise... it's your standard Multiverse figure, this means single-jointed elbows, I guess they kept the double-joints for the really special characters, like the Batfamily. He's slightly taller than Bucky-Cap.
I love this guy, and I admit my love for the figure my stem from my love for the character, but it's not like I can fight that, right? Besides, it's my blog, and it's about how much I enjoyed the figure!

Action Figure #96: Marvel Legends Hobgoblin (Retro-Carded)

Mark Hamill doing his best as not-the-Joker.

And now we are getting into the iconic Spider-man Villains with the Hobgoblin. This guy wasn't just a Green Goblin clone, oh no, this one was more of a mafioso(Maggioso?), and regularly worked with New York's Underbelly. Plus, he's orange, and orange triumphs over purple.
So why did I go for the animated Hobbie over the Comic accurate one? Simple, the scaley leg-mold is known to break often, so I went for what's safer. Besides, this guy doesn't look half-bad... although the orange could've been less bright, my eyes! That said, one thing they took away from the previous iteration where the pointy boots... the pointy boots that made sure he stayed on his glider! So yeah, good lucking keeping him ON it.
Articulation-wise it's pretty much a Bucky-Cap mold. He's got those gloves that take a little bit of range away from the double-jointed elbows, but it's not too bad.
Coloring aside, I think this is a great figure of a great villain.

Action Figure #95: Loose Collector/Executive Replicas Betty Page(The Rocketeer 2-Pack)

Any similarity to a real person... is a 100% intentional!

Much like Guyver, the Rocketeer is a character that has been ingrained in my memories ever since I could remember, but I don't know why or how... so I probably watched the movie when I was a wee lad. I wasn't really interested in Betty Page's figure, but since it was the only way I could get this Rocketeer figure... well, here we are!
The sculpt is nice, she actually wore this outfit at some point in the comics, so yeah, it fits. She's been made very voluptuous, and the paint is really good, there's a lot of shading that makes it stand out from similarly style Marvel Legends. That said, there's a weird block-part in her crotch that stands out when seeing her from the front, because while her booty shorts are black... the sides are flesh colored. Photo below.
You'll immediately notice that her arms are kinda frail... and they are, the shoulder pegs, both of them, broke on me. Her arms are now glued to the swivel, so she can't turn them anymore. That issue aside, her articulation is decent. Leg and arm swivels, a ball joint on the torso, double jointed knees and elbows... it's good, really good. She's slightly taller than the Bucky-Cap.
 See? SEE?
Look, it's not like I wanted this figure, OK? QC issues on her arms aside, she's alright.

Action Figure #94: DC Universe Classics Martian Manhunter

Could you believe that I'm not done with the green skinned characters yet?

See? I told you that martians should look green! Although this is actually the Martian Manhunter, so what do I know?
This guy, this guy looks STRONG. It's the typical DCUC figure sculpt, but he comes with a  cape and two red straps over his chest, but then again... what else could they have done?
Articulation is the same as with every other DCUC figure. That said, this time around you can actually use his cape to get him into some poses, using it as another prod. Not too bad! This guy is huge! About a head taller than Bucky-Cap.
Yeah, it's a good fig. I don't know if he should be this much taller than Superman(Spoilers!), but otherwise, it's a good representation of Martian Manhunter.

Action Figure #93: Marvel Legends - Nova(Walgreens Exclusive)

Definitely not a Green Lantern, no way, see? He's yellow, not green.

So, I really don't know much about Nova besides his epic appearances in the Annihilation Wave saga comic books, in which he is shown as Peter Quill's best buddy. He also gets the most metal scene ever when he rips Annihilus innards with his bare hands. He's built like that.
From the waist down, this is a Bucky-Cap mold, but the torso is definitely different, you can see he doesn't have any sculpted veins! Regardless, for all intents and purposes, this is a modified Bucky-Cap mold, but this Nova looks pretty good. The gold looks really nice with his deep blue.
Anything Bucky-Cap can do, this guy can do, which suits him just fine. I found his legs to be a bit wobbly, but it could've been just my Nova. He's as tall as Bucky/Cap
I really like this guy. The paint job is great, the articulation works great, it's an all around great Nova figure.

Action Figure #92: DC Universe Classics Black Canary

Let's see if we can hear her sing.

If you thought I was done with disappointing female figures you'd be wrong, because Black Canary is something else man.
This is Black Canary at her classic-est, which is not a bad look, although I prefer the more modern versions. Regardless, besides her powers, Black Canary is a hand to hand expert, and this sculpt is... I'm pretty sure it's the same as StarFire's, and it's just too thin for her. Her fishnets are made out of real cloth, so that's pretty cool, all in all.
The articulation is substandard, to say the least. She can't move her legs to the sides, which hampers her poseability a lot. Her frail little arms and legs can barely bend, and the sculpted hair makes sure that she can't even twist her head. Not a good figure. She's slightly taller than Bucky-Cap.
This figure is.... is the only way you can have a six inch Black Canary figure, so... yeah...
3.0

Action Figure #91: Marvel Legends Misty Knight

She's not a knight made out of mist.

I haven't had the chance to disclose it, but I'm somewhat of a closet Iron Fist fan(Spoilers!), so naturally, I gravitate towards his support cast, namely her best love interest ever, Misty Knight!
Where to begin... first of all, she uses the Scarlet Witch buck, which means she is hard to stand, and what's worse, her head is kinda heavy, which makes it even harder! Now, the headsculpt is really good... until you get to the paint in her eyes... She's cross-eyed! Every single version of this figure looks like this, how did this get past QC?
Articulation is what you'd expect, what can I say? Her 'do makes her slightly taller than the Bucky-Cap mold.
This figure is... disappointing to say the least. Misty Knight should be a tad more muscular, and why keep her mechanical arm to just a fist instead of the whole arm? Missed opportunity right there. But the eyes, man, the eyes, that's downright inexcusable. I hope we get a new Misty Knight soon, hopefully with the other Daughter of the Dragon, Coleen Wing.
