Action Figure #588: Power Rangers Lightning Collection Lord Zedd(Lord Zedd/Rita Repulsa 2-Pack)

 Yes, those are his muscles and tendons. Cry you heart out, Robbie Williams!

 I wanted a Lord Zedd, and there were two options: The original Wave 1 release or this re-release... well, the original had unpainted finger tips, so the choice was easy. That said, I bought him loose because I don't care, at least at the time of me writing this, about Rita.

 Well, he looks the part! Lord Zedd is an amazing unique sculpt that Hasbro won't be able to reuse. While I would've preferred if every silver piece was sculpted onto the mold, some of them are made out of much softer plastic that is slotted onto the figure itself, and this pieces being the ones that are tied to the light-blue cables that go alongside his body. The body itself is very detailed, with tons lines and stripes to simulate muscle tissue. My one complaint are his tiny feet! The figure comes with a bunch of accessories, but since I bought him loose I only go his scepter, but otherwise, he should come with an electric effect piece, and alternate set of hands and a grenade of sorts.

 Zedd is no slouch in the articulation department, he has butterfly joints, bicep swivels, thigh swivels, double jointed elbows and knees, and hinged waist and a ball jointed ab crunch. He is highly articulated, only limited by his cables.

 Behold! Zedd's tiny feet. They look a bit goofy, and are my only gripe with the figure.

 As it can be seen above, the cables that go from the lower spine to the wrists WILL limit some of his poses, but it's not too bad. He is a touch taller than Bucky Cap, making him taller than the Power Rangers, which I think is really cool.

 Lord Zedd is one of the greatest villain designs in the history of villains, and Hasbro captured the look perfectly. A few things could've been done a bit better, but I feel it's mostly just me nitpicking. I love the guy!

Action Figure #587: Star Wars The Black Series Zaalbar

 Does this make me a furry?

 Zaalbar has never made it into my party in KOTOR, but you'll never find me saying no to KOTOR action figures!

 For all intents and purposes, this figure is a Chewbacca reuse through and through. The paintjob is much simpler, and his only attire is his red strapped belt. He comes with a crossbow blaster, which I don't have since I bought him used, as well as KOTOR's trademark double-handed vibroblade, which looks very faithful to how it does in the game! 

 Articulation is the same as Chewbacca, with single jointed elbows and knees, swivels on his thighs and a ball jointed ab-crunch which works more as a swivel than anything else.Due to how the head is sculpted this guy can't turn his head, which kinda sucks for bladed poses! He is quite taller than Bucky Cap.

 Zaalbar is a decent figure, but nothing special, I think. His Vibroblade is really neat, however, and I don't mind adding another Wookie into my collection.

Action Figure #586: Marvel Legends Red Hulk

 Here comes the Rhulk!

 Here's a controversial character if there ever was one! When Red Hulk was first introduced he was handing out beatings by the dozen, which didn't do much to endear readers to him. But after some growing pains, I'd say that the Red Hulk has become a liked element of the Hulk mythos.

 Well, he is identical to the other Hulk figure I wrote about, but red and black instead of green and purple. The head is, however, entirely different, and I kinda prefer this color scheme and this head sculp, but that's me. He too has some lighter shade of red applied on certain parts of his body. Much like the other Hulk, he comes with two fists and two open hands. Some fire effect accessories wpuld've been nice, but this is good enough.

 Same height and articulation as the other Hulk.

 While I prefer Banner as a character... when it comes to action figures... I think I like Red Hulk better! This red paintjob just looks more badass!

Action Figure #585: DC Multiverse Batman(Gotham by Gaslight)

 I have Batman Beyond, might as well get Batman Before.

 Well, I've been flirting with the idea of getting the Batman from Gotham by Gaslight for a while now, and I finally found him for cheap.

 If he looks a bit off that's because he is based on how he looked in the comic book and not the animated movie. While a simple design, he has sculpted stiches on his mask, emblem and the soft-plastic part of his cape, the one that goes over his shoulders. The rest of the cape is made out of soft goods, and the overall look is pretty cool. He comes with four tiny knives, and four hands. He has a pair of semi-open hands, a right gripping hand, that can't hold the knives and a special left hand with a slot for the knives. 

 Articulation is par for the course with the line. We get swivels on the biceps, thighs and waist, a hinged ab crunch, double jointed knees and single jointed elbows. Sadly, the elbows only reach a ninety-degree bend.

 The only limitation is the soft-plastic part of the cape, this is as high as his arms can go, and the collar limits how much Bats can turn his head. He is a bit taller than Bucky Cap.

 While the articulation could've been better, this is overall a good figure and a good representation of the character, and I do like having a new version of Batman to play with.

Action Figure #584: Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves Rakor

  Everything is better with Dragons

 I mentioned needing more monsters, and I do love Dragons... so Rakor is finally here with me.

 Well... He does feel more like a toy than a proper collectible. While he does look nice and scaly, the scales are rather large and round, clearly, whatever got the job done, as opposed to the beautiful work Hasbro did with something like the Beholder. I do like the metallic silver on his belly, and the poisonous green they went in for his wings. Whichever the case, he is an inexpensive, large dragon, and he does look good... even if a matte finish on the black plastic would've been welcome.

 The front and hind legs can move back and forth, but they don't have joints and they don't move to the sides. The head can rotate a bit to the left and a bit to the right, but it's nothing special. He can open and close his jaws. The wings are on ball jointed hinges that can open and close, as well as turn 360 degrees, which is pretty cool. Sadly, his tail has no articulation whatsoever.

 The silver paint stops midway through his belly. Lazy, cheap Hasbro. He scales nicely next to a Marvel Legends as a medium sized Dragon.

 While a bit basic and unimpressive, he fits the dragon-sized hole in my collection quite nicely. The paint and articulation could've been better, but it's good enough.

Action Figure #583: Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger(Color Swap)

 Does this count as a Drag Ranger?

 And now comes Jason as the Yellow Ranger. I honestly thought that this two pack was just too good to pass up, plus, since it's a male Yellow Ranger... you can make the Sentai version of the show!

 Well, it's a very basic design because, well, the original design was very basic, but I do like it, and considering how many Yellow Rangers were turned into women in the show... it's nice to get a male Yellow Ranger! He comes with two alternate fists, two daggers, and the gun-and-dagger in all three states, as well as two purple sparks, for the daggers and... a Jason headsculpt that looks NOTHING like he does in the show, but it does resemble his comic book counterpart.

 Same fantastic articulation as the other figures in this line but with drop down hips. He is a tiny bit shorter than the Bucky Cap mold.

 I really dig this guy, and I really loved this two-pack. Both figures are fantastic, although I like this one just a tiny bit more.

Action Figure #582: Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin Red Ranger(Color Swap)

 Well, at least the Asian person isn't the Yellow Ranger anymore...

 Well, the Boom comics have this weird mini saga in which every Mighty Morphin Ranger gets their color swapped, and Trini gets to be the Red Ranger!

 Well, this is the Red Ranger but in female form. Frankly, there are not enough Red Sentai or Rangers, so I'll take it! I feel like the head is a bit too large for her body, but considering it's a helmet... it ain't half bad. I adore the unhelmetted head sculpt, as she looks exactly like Trini does in the comic book. She also includes a sword, a fantastic blue spark effect, and an alternate fist and an alternate open palm hand, not to mention the gun-dagger in all three possible states.

 Articulation is exactly the same as her male counterparts in the line, and she also gets drop down hips. She is quite shorter than Bucky Cap.

 Articulation is top-notch, the alternate head is perfect and the rest of the figure looks pretty nice. She is a keeper!
