Action Figure #177: Star Wars The Black Series Anakin(Revenge of the Sith)

Keep the younglings away from him!

Hayden wasn't the best actor, he wasn't given the best script and the prequel Star Wars movies weren't the best... but dammit if Anakin Skywalker didn't look cool by the third movie.
Well, he looks cool. The headsculpt is not very accurate, but it's close enough, and they used soft-goods for the skirt part of his robes. There's a lot of texturing and details all over his body, which I really like. Not pictured in the box is an alternate head with yellow, Sith eyes... but you can barely see the yellow to be honest.
But the articulation is where this figure falters... the legs are extremely gummy, this was my first Black Series figure, and the first time I came across such a rubbery plastic, so I was quite shocked. He is sometimes quite difficult to stand because of this. The hilt of his blade is also very gummy, so expect it to bend a lot. His arms don't have bicep swivels, and they are single jointed, and there's no ab crunch whatsoever, just a miserable waist swivel that's very tight. Look, you can get some Jedi poses, but it's simply not good enough. He's shorter than the Bucky Cap Mold.
Look... Anakin is a good looking figure, and if you can get him into the right poses, he can look really cool... but posing them shouldn't be so hard and so limited.
