Action Figure #165: Valaverse SWARM Sentry

  Don't call them off-brand Joes!

The Valaverse are the other current 6-inch military-action figure line, but instead of having Ninjas, they have these really cool insectoid soldiers. In my case, I wanted to give these figs a whirl, so I went for the SWARM Sentry.

He's really cool! The guy has a very chunky look to him, his limbs are very thick, and the plastic feels a lot harder, without feeling fragile, than Hasbro's Joes. He's painted with dark black and a very dirty, almost bronze gold that makes him look badass. There's a lot of detail to his armor, and he comes with a ton of different hands to pose him with.
Articulation-wise he has everything you'd want. Ball jointed torso, waist swivel, bicep and leg swiel, double jointed elbows and knees as well as butterfly joints. His chest armor is made out of a rubbery plastic, so you can take it off. The main difference with the Joes is that these figure are taller, heck, this guy is taller than the Bucky Cap mold.
I'm spread a bit too thin with action figure series, but I'd definitely be open to collecting a few more Valaverse figures, because this guy was great. He feels as if he's of a better quality than what Hasbro produces, he looks really cool and even came with a nice amount of accessories.
