At least they tried, mon ami.
A lot of people love Gambit, although not me, and a lot of people love Age of Apocalypse, so it was only a matter of time before we got this figure. Much like Hasbro did with AoA Cyclops... they did the bare minimum. So, the sculpt is alright, however, he is one of the figures they opted to use different art of him on every side of the box, which is a dead giveaway that he is missing stuff. He should have yellow straps below his arms, and his knee pads should be silver, and he is missing some sort of necklace, all of this which can be seen on every bit of art they chose for the packaging. That aside, he is a good looking figure... even if he is the gummiest release in this wave. He comes with an alternate pair of hands and a staff. On another note, the red strap on his leg is loose, so it may fall, and his cape is made of surprisingly solid plastic, which adds a bit of weight to him.
He uses the Sunfire buck, so he is highly articulated. Bicep, Waist and leg swivels, but no boot swivels. Double jointed elbows and knees, butterfly joints and a hinged ab crunch. It all adds up to make him fun to pose, if you ignore his gummy arms. He is a hair than Bucky Cap.
He is alright, but just alright. Too gummy, and not as accurate to the character as it could've been.
