I've got a good feeling about this.
So I've been watching Clone Wars, and Anakin and
Obi-Wan Kenobi were already my favorite duo, but man oh man, now I love them even more. And this
General Kenobi look he sports is really badass, but the figure has gone up in price... luckily he got this re-release. Which, lemme tell you, was pretty
hard to score since he kept going in and out of stock!
This is General Kenobi, from the 3D animated series, as played by Ewan McGregor, so he's got his
likeness. This outfit has cream-colored Jedi robes mixed with Clone Trooper armor, and he looks
sick! And they nailed the look perfectly well. He only comes with his lightsaber, and while the grip on the hilt could be better, you can get him to hold it just fine if you
finagle with it a bit.
And not only does he look cool, but he is fun to pose. He has the
newer articulation engineering, so single jointed elbows and knees, swivels on his thighs, butterfly joints and a ball jointed waist. The pauldrons are made of very soft plastic that go over the torso, so no issues there, and the kneepads and elbow pads are made of very soft plastic that
don't get in the way of his articulation, and the bends on his elbows and knees is pretty good. Sometimes the thinnest part of the elbow pads got stuck under his bicep plates, but it's not hard to get them out of there. As with other Obi figures, he is about a head shorter than Bucky Cap.
Sans a few little details, that are easy to ignore, this is an
exceptional figure. I've had a lot of fun posing him around.
