Mass produced Red Ranger.
I'm midway through the Drakkon/Shattered Grid event in the comics, so I don't know too much about how these
Tyrannosaurus Sentry guys are produced, but I did think it was a cool design, so here we are.
So, at
first glance, this is a pretty cool looking take on the Red Ranger. He has all these armor pieces on his waist and legs, a badass cape with an armored pauldron and a double ended lance to complete the
guardian look. If you ask me, they nailed the look. He comes with his lance, an alternate pair of fists and a single spark effect for his lance.
Technically, he has the same articulation as any other Lightning Collection figure. Sadly, the
solid plastic absolutely kills the articulation on his arms. A soft goods cape, with the golden pauldron and the neck piece glued to it would've been perfect, but as it stands... either he stands very badass in a neutral pose with the cape... or you take off the cape and
neuter the design.
His butterfly joints are very weird, instead of being white.... they are half white and half red. It looks
really bad. Also, while the black lines on his torso do extend to his back... the white rhombuses do not.
Lame!! He is a bit shorter than Bucky Cap.
Sadly, the Tyrannosaurus Sentry is kinda bland. The cape just kills all the playability, and limits the cool poses he could stand in. At least he does look cool in the few poses his cape
allows.
