Cosmic Marvel's most forgotten hero.
You wouldn't know it from watching the movies, but Adam Warlock used to be the centerpiece of cosmic Marvel, and this would include events like Infinity Gauntlet in which he was a key player in beating Thanos. He was probably deemed too 'out there' for the average MCU fan, so all we got was a watered down version of him in Guardians of the Galaxy.Look, I was quite happy with my other Adam Warlock, as his Guardians of the Galaxy incarnation is my favorite one, but I didn't mind getting a more classic look... a more classic look with pants, as the original Adam didn't wear any! The sculpt on this guy is great. He usen the Vulcan body as a base, so he is ripped, and they gave him a very angry expression which I don't think fits him the best, but it does make him look imposing! I dig his two-colored cape. He comes with two fists, a gripping left hand and... a trigger finger right hand. Why? Probably because of the vertical hinge, to make him able to point with his staff, but still a weird choice because he comes with a left fist for the infinity gauntlet. And boy oh boy, the Infinity Gauntlet is one of the coolest accessories for an action figure, because due to the way it's been made, you can give it to any other figure built on a buck of similar size! The cuff of the gauntlet goes over the arm, and then you just slot in the gauntlet fist and voila! It's amazing. He also comes with the useless mini comic.
Articulation is the same as the Vulcan Buck. Double jointed elbows and knees, swivels on his biceps, boots, thighs and waist, a hinged ab crunch and a butterfly joint. His soft-plastic came WILL hamper some of his articulation, but it's not too bad. He is a hair taller than Bucky Cap.
There's a lot to like here, but I'm not gonna lie, what really makes the figure a winner for me is the ingenious Infinity Gauntlet accessory. Not only do you get a dope looking classic Adam Warlock, but an Infinity Gauntlet you can equip on most other Legends! Truly Excelsior!
